There are many reasons the recent release of patch 1.26 for World of Warcraft was exciting. The changes to mage artifacts are exciting, as is the new layout and feel of Stormwind and Orgrimmar. But for this article, we're going to focus on one major change: Grim Batol. With all the large-scale changes happening in the game with patch 1. 26, it seems Blizzard finally found enough time to add in a long-awaited dungeon. In essence, Grim Batol is well-designed and exciting. It's a beautiful dungeon with many unique levers and buttons, and it presents a lot of very fun challenges for groups who choose to tackle what lies inside. The gnome designing the dungeon deserves a big hand for coming up with some very creative puzzles, including the fun one in which you have to dodge lightning balls while standing on metal plates that have been warped by a mage's magic. But even with all the great new things there are about this dungeon, it has become clear that not many players are going to see its wonders anytime soon. Why you ask? Well... There are too many things that can kill you!The problem here is very similar to the one the developers found a solution for in Zul'Farrak. And that's a good thing, because it shows that they're listening to what players say and trying to make sure their hard work is enjoyable for everyone. And it really is a testament to their dedication, as this dungeon was not easy at all to implement. So now we have three levels of difficulty: Heroic, Hard and Easy. Hard has the same exact loot as before, but now at least level 70 players can do Heroic difficulty without feeling like they're going to die every five seconds and just waiting around for respawns. And so everyone is going to have a reason to go for Grim Batol, and everyone will have a reason to be excited about it.With this, we bring the first piece of the first monthly World of Warcraft column. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it! If you have any suggestions or comments on how we can improve, don't hesitate to let us know. We'd love to hear from you!Dan "Warthog" Howarth Artist/Developer Relations Manager World of Warcraft Community Team - TRION Worlds[/ARTICLE END] It's been a long time coming since the release of patch 1. 24 and we can hardly contain our excitement! Grim Batol is a brand new dungeon - and the first open-world raid dungeon for World of Warcraft. We, like many others, were really looking forward to getting our hands on Grim Batol, but we didn't expect it to be available so soon.Still, this was brought about by the changes made in patch 1.24 and it's definitely not a bad thing that we finally get the chance to get into the new dungeon. However, even with such exciting news, we did notice something rather strange: Since there has been so much focus on this week's patch 1. eccc085e13
